Voice Description: Midwestern, character, serious, sexy, fun
I do warm, deep, midwestern, southern, authoritative, rich, baritone reads in the narrative, and do great Scottish, little old British lady voices, and Australian. I speak the German language. My voice can be very sexy and seductive for the right voiceover. I do a lot of bank ads, insurance, medical websites, webinars, training videos for retail chains and classy auto ads. I have also done Civil War "deep south" voices for audio books, and numerous cartoon voices. Other highlights include rural farmers, with a slight local flavor, several voice greetings and voice mail/IVR messaging.

Accents & Dialects
Little old British lady, dancing Irishman, Australian. I speak fluent German, I lived there for five years, so can be authentic or "over the top" ala "HHHHogan..." I also perform dialects in Swedish, Mexican (not to be confused with Spanish), Indian, Brooklyn, intellectual or dimwit, nobility or dead broke. I've lived all over the world, so I have a very good international ear for slight differences in voice characteristics. I can even do voices that drive my dogs insane since, what they are used to, is just not coming out of my mouth.

My Voice Experience
I've been the voiceover talent for Audio Books, Finance, Medical, Legal Profession, promos for Micro Breweries, Franchise Start-ups, Car ads that range from Saturn and Hyundai to Lexus and Mercedes. I've done children's audio books and can do a variety of different cartoon characters. My ad work ranges from extremely serious to downright over-the-top silly and fun. I have gone from a rich progressive DJ voice, to toothless Civil War soldier, direct from the War Between the States - all in back-to-back sessions. I can also do very serious and compelling voice over jobs. My voice is my greatest asset and I take every job very seriously and do the best performance that I can. I try to visualize the character so it becomes more about acting than a dry reading.
Majored in Radio/TV/Film at the University of Georgia
, with a minor in Speech. Been to several voice over classes in Nashville and have even taught a few. I've done theatre, radio, TV and DVD voice overs. When I was in high school in Atlanta, I worked with noted personality "Skinny Bobby" Harper
, writing and producing skits with him. He was the character that Dr. Johnny Fever was modeled after, in the TV show WKRP in Cincinnati
. Ever since I was a little kid, I was always the first to read to the class out loud, volunteer host and MC of the Christmas program, or read announcements over the school's PA. If it involved my voice, I was there for it.
My Studio Equipment
I have a great audio set up that has the quality needed for most ads and auditions. My personal mics are an MXL 006 and a MXL 909. My computer is fast and clean. If it's a big budget job that demands a higher degree of broadcast quality, I use an award-winning studio here in Nashville. The studio is state of the art with the best equipment available. The owner is a top notch producer and director and can sync video, compress, expand, pitch - and has the ability to do A thru Z at any given time. Huge library of music and sound effects. If he doesn't have the music, he's talented enough to create it. He has two studios; Readio Theatre, where audio books are written and produced, and Creative License. His equipment includes: ProTools Digi 002, Nueman U-87, complete sound studio, Peak LE, Toast, JAM, Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro, DVD Studio Pro, FTP Site, and PhotoShop CS.
Produced over 300 DVDs, supplying the voices, rights to packaging, producing and voice overs. All audio work is done in a professional recording studio here in Nashville, using state-of-the-art equipment and stellar production by award-winning Joe Loesch at Creative License. Audio books are done at Readio Theatre, in Nashville, by the same gentleman. Book experience ranges from children, civil war, baseball, biographies and Bible tales. I am proud and very lucky to be associated with Joe.
